Wittenauer Custom Homes owner and general contractor, Brad Wittenauer, didn’t always know he wanted to work in the construction industry. He attended Kansas University to pursue a degree in Criminal Law, until in 2001, a side business with a friend painting houses took off and Brad realized he had a knack for the industry. After being promoted quickly to crew lead and supervisor in a successful construction company, Brad decided to venture out on his own to begin his own company. As the owner, Brad would be able to demonstrate his expert capability and skills to manage the many areas encompassing a construction project from site development and design to contracting complete construction operations.  Over the last 9 years as owner of Wittenauer Custom Homes, his company has made continual growth as it took on building, designing, and rehabbing homes in the St. Louis area.

There are many great adjectives to describe Brad’s dedication and vision for his business including being tenacious, diligent, and persevering. However, if you were to ask him what was most important in his life, he would tell you faith, family and friends. Among his greatest personal accomplishments, Brad married his childhood sweetheart in 2009 and was blessed with 2 sons to love. Brad will tell you the key to his success in business lie in the relationships he builds and his communication with clients, employees, and subcontractors. Brad’s credibility with his customers speaks for itself when it comes to providing reliable and trustworthy services to homeowners as most of Brad’s prospective clients come from word of mouth from past customers. The greatest fulfillment for his job comes from watching a client’s vision for their home come to fruition and his motto for his work is to “get the job done right, the first time”.

In 2011, Brad decided to expand his company and completed the necessary education to become a state certified HUD 203 K loan inspector. Brad considers himself an avid and ongoing learner who prides himself on being up to date with current information in the industry.
